New U.S. National Science Foundation Award!

August 18, 2012
We will use the award to acquire an adaptive computation server for support of STEM research, that we will call “BIG-STEM”. Many of the multi-disciplinary research problems we are currently investigating at University of Idaho require the use of large-scale resources that cannot be provided by traditional machines or computer clusters that are currently available at the UI. We have obtained a quotation from CDW Corporation working in conjunction with Hewlett Packard (HP), Inc. for an 80 processor, 2 Terabyte RAM, 9.6 Terabyte Disk Space computational server.
